28 June 2012 “AKA Resort Hua Hin is Truly Fabulous”
AKA Resort Hua Hin is a wonderful oasis full of privacy, luxurious villas, lush tropical vegetation, fantastic service and inviting views. Each villa comes with its own pool, all of which are kept immaculately clean. My daughter and I miss waking up in the morning, walking two steps and jumping into our beautiful pool - a truly great way to start the day! The resort is a short drive from the Hua Hin township and is beautifully positioned on the side of a hill, which results in lovely day and evening views. AKA's location delivers a feeling of tranquillity and each villa has a sense of privacy, which is enhanced by abundant tropical vegetation. Can’t wait to go back!!

8 May 2012 “I forgot the time”
Love this place! it was my first time to stay at AKA and I can’t wait to go back! The staff are attentive, the food is good and what I love the most is the privacy! Quiet and totally relaxing. Just want you need if you're after a complete break from work.
Georges S, Belgium Traveller
5 April 2012 “EXCELLENT HOLIDAY”
On March 26 we started a 6day/5night vacation in this fantastic place. From the moment we arrived we felt this was the place for us to be. Quiet and complete privacy. We hardly left ourwell appointed villa except for having meals, prepared by a great chef, who went well out of his way to satisfy our wishes. The staff was very friendly and attentive, although a better knowledge of English might be an asset. The private pool in our villa did not make it necessary to go to the wonderful large pool located near a well stocked bar. If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a beach hotel, this is definitely not your place, but if you are like us and go there to relax and do your own thing it is a great place to spend your vacation. Every villa even has its own private massage room. We loved it and count going back.

10 March 2011 “Stunning Hotel, Secluded, Peaceful, Perfect!”
We enjoyed a fantastic stay at AKA this week. The Villa was stunning, excellent pool, two beautiful outdoor baths and lovely grounds. We stayed in a One Bedroom Deluxe but felt more like a 2 bedroom (the spa room was, in effect, a guest bedroom). With palm trees and bamboo fences, the resort felt peaceful and we barely heard our neighbours (even though a couple of families had kids). Free morning activities (Thai boxing, Yoga etc) a great addition to the package, likewise free wi-fi.
Mr Beentoa, America
6 September 2010 “Total getaway”
This was my idea of ideal romantic accommodations. I loved the layout of our "place" (two bedrooms, one sitting room, one dining area surrounding a private pool and deck area, with a separate outdoor area one floor above) and the exquisite outdoor shower/bath and adjacent lavatory. There was total privacy - it was like having your own apartment. The very modern arrangement and understated quiet elegant style of everything was much to my liking. While the AKA is not on the beach of Hua Hin, it is not difficult to get to the main city and the water with the hotel shuttle. Frankly, I preferred the private pool. The hotel has a larger main pool and dining areas, all quite lovely. This was just the place for me in Hua Hin. If you are a golfer, the hotel is conveniently situated to the golf courses.
Ms Melmel Lau, Hong Kong
22 March 2010 “Simply, true, excellent!”
The first time I am visiting Hua Hin. We enjoyed the holiday so much! I can't say enough how much we loved AKA Hotel! It is truly great resort, very clean and quiet. Excellent service and very helpful, beautiful swimming pool just great and they do some activities like yoga class, spa, cooking class. This time we miss the cooking class but next time if we visit Hua Hin again will absolutely try it out, if you want to get some place for relaxing AKA would be a perfect choice!
Ms Athena Yip, Hong Kong
13 March 2010 “A friend recommended us to try AKA Resort”
A friend recommended us to try AKA Resort for our vacation in Hua Hin. That was a two bedrooms pool villa that we booked. The interior design of the pool villa was gorgeous and the view was so beautiful! The first reaction of us stepping into the villa was "wow", stylish design, great service, great food and awesome bed... will highly recommend to my other friends!
Mr Mark L, Singapore
27 February 2010
We had initially booked the pool villa with the standard of upkeep of the villa. Fortunately the staff were very accommodating and we were upgraded to a Deluxe pool villa which was a world of difference better. Lovely private pool with green hedges all around for privacy. Lovely room with 4 pollster bed and mosquito nets and great open plan bathrooms. Breakfast was lovely with great variety and lots of interesting things. A great place if u want to just chill and go nowhere.
Mr John D, United Kingdom
25 February 2010 “Best Hotel ever stayed in”
Fabulous hotel - we fell in love with it. We had booked a double room villa with private pool - ended up with a two king-size villa with pool and sitting area. The architecture is brilliant. Excellent place to chill out. Staff could do no wrong. We will definitely be going back it was excellent.
Mr Narumol S, Thailand
15 August 2009 “AKA - another resort in my A list.”
Started and end with very good serviced minds staffs. Seemed like the resort tried to impress their customers in every single details by offering welcome drink with sorbet ice-cream and give us cookies upon our check out. The hotel and the room are very clean. Lot of space in our villa. I love the roof deck especially.
Ms Nicquie, London
15 August 2009 “absolutely divine!”
Wow what can i say from the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff treated us like princesses! The location is very secluded and set within acres of land with all villas and private pools the location is not for everyone but if you after complete peace and tranquility then this is the place for you!!! We spent 2 nights here to get away from the noise of Bangkok took about 2 and half hours by private transfer!!! we stayed in a one bed deluxe villa with a ten metre affinity pool garden massage room private outside shower and bath and a roof top sala so lovely clean and private!!! Room service serving all kinds of lovely food delivered throughout the day and a restaurant for tasty breakfast lunch and dinner!!!
Mr Foluso O, United Kingdom
31 July 2009
Lovely hotel with a tranquil feel and brings you closer to nature especially loved the water theme. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. They were always ready to help. I did not use the spa as I thought the prices were way excessive but the facilities looked great. My reason for this holiday was to relax and this I achieved.
Mr Andrew C, New Zealand
26 July 2009 “Best Rooms in any hotel I've ever seen”
Rooms are beautiful design, attentive staff. Pool is brilliant. Roof daybed is comfy and a nice place to chill. At night take a walk around the complex, there were fireflies and frogs and it was like a mini nature walk. There are staff everywhere and they're all happy to help. The hotel can organise almost anything you like for cheaper than you would pay locally, we went on the elephant track which was very good.
Mr Cheuk P, Hong Kong
15 July 2009
There's a lot of privacy in the resort. You can have your own swimming pool, spa room, resting room and dining room. It suits for relaxing or family gatherings.
Mr Nisakorn S, Thailand
8 July 2009 “Private Retreat”
It was so great to have a private villa and a huge pool! The staff were very helpful and reachable. The hotel is only 2 hours from BKK and near the market. If you want to chill out and relax in a private setting, then this is the place to be.
Mr Thomas I, Sweden
24 June 2009 “Very Nice Hotel for Couples!”Fantastic villas with private pool, outdoor shower and bathtub, roof terrace and separate private room for massage. Breakfast very nice, staff friendly and attentive. Shuttle to central Hua Hin (6km) runs about 6 times a day. Taxi approx 150THB if you want to go outside transport hours. I was positively surprised about this whole setting. The resort is kind of remote from city, but for couples looking to get away for a few days, it's great! Kids will probably be bored after some time, so don't bring them. AKA is perfect if you don't want to leave your room for a few days.
Mr Kasin S, Thailand
9 May 2009 “A Place for Romantic Vacation”
I totally love this resort. That’s acceptable given all the atmosphere you will get once you reach there. You get a private pool in your villa, it's very quiet, private and romantic. During my nights, I saw some fireflies too. Personally I am very happy with my stay.
Mr Jackson L, Hong Kong
12 April 2009 “Like Paradise”
It's really a wonderful place for honey moon or for people wanted to refresh their mind from the busy city. The pool in the villa and roof top rest area is the most enjoyable place inside the villa. Hotel Staff is really helpful
Mr Liu Y, Taiwan
8 April 2009 “Peaceful resort and will go back again”
It is very good privacy one of the small luxury hotels of the world each room has its own swimming pool, the room rate is not expensive comparing to the pool room in other hotels. The location is not near the center of Hua Hiu, so you need book the shuttle in advance. The spa at AKA is not cheap there's tourist center next to Starbucks in downtown, and you can get lots of information there. We found a very good spa place there.
Mr Orion, Finland
26 March 2009 "Relaxing AKA"
After a nine hour flight we had a private chauffeur from Bangkok airport to resort. Driving time from Bangkok was 2 hours 40 minutes. It went smoothly, just reserved something to drink and eat on the backseat. Check in to the hotel was very pleasant. Immediately after arrival we felt the relaxing atmosphere. Golf cart took ask to our villa which was a deluxe pool villa on the edge of the resort. Everywhere in resort premises you could here relaxing music which makes you feel that you are in a relaxing spa all the time. Villa is very private and you can spend your whole holiday there if you want to. Room service will bring food if needed (without any additional fee). Pool is big enough for swimming and there is plenty space in the villa for two people. Breakfast was served in the hotel restaurant or you could have it also in the villa. We stayed here for ten days and visited several times Hua Hin and arranged some golf for nearby golf courses. All together, the service was helpful and fast. We used AKA resort shuttle bus and local taxi/tuk tuk services (tuk tuk from Hua Hin city to AKA cost about 300 baht). This is a great place to relax and get away from noise and traffic. I recommend this for a people who want to spend relaxing time in a high quality private villa with service.
Mr Sheraz and Ms Aneesa, London
29 January 2009 "Amazing Honeymoon"
We stayed at AKA resort in Hua Hin for our honeymoon in Aug 07, when we booked it was a new resort so did not really know what to expect, although it did look great in pictures. At arrival, our first opinion of the resort was WOW!!! I think this resort is probably the only resort that looks much nicer in real then in photos. Best thing about this resort was privacy, you have your own private pool! The food overall was great, service was good too, villa dining experience was amazing. Overall resort was very quiet, a perfect get away to relax!
Mr Brantaz, Dublin
16 January 2009 "Another Great Stay at AKA 1"
Sorry that my review is a bit late but better late than never, I just want to agree with the other review that the this place is out of this world in both service and style. I really enjoyed the Saturday night BBQ with the new chef French I think.... anyway great experience and the singer that night was super too. Watch the monitor cocktails they really kick. This was my third time here as it suits us great my wife loves sun and chilling out and I love golf...so early morning rounds in black mountain gold club is heaven on earth and also they sort playing buddies for you as i went on my own. We rented a little scooter bike from the dude outside the resort and found it great for getting around during the day...we went for lunch in black mountain golf a couple of times and this was sublime and cheap as well. There is a great driving range at this course too with the friendliest lady who will chat while you' re having a beer between shots. All in all i love Hua Hin the only problem is we always have great plans to travel to Samui or other great places but the relaxing factor upsets that. Just booked again with AKA for August and I year better at golf so perhaps I wont so many balls.
Mr Jean-Yves Laffitte, France
21 December 2008
The pool is fantastic. We have a barbecue in our own villa and seafood was great. Will visit again next year, maybe Guti this time. Happy New Year!

This hotel is outstanding. We would recommend it and would come back when next in Hua Hin. The staff were wonderful, helping and accommodating. It made us feel welcomed and appreciated that all staff knew our room number and were always happy/keen to help us out. This is one of the best and relaxing hotels we have stayed at. Thank you!
Mr Brendon Ken, Hong Kong
26 July 2008
The food is very good, it changes everyday. The pool villa is natural, open yet it maintains privacy. On the whole, I am very satisfied with staying at AKA. Definitely, I will choose AKA in the future if I come to Hua Hin again.
Mr Lam Wingfai, Hong Kong
31 June 2008
I love the staff here. Energetic, proactive, friendly also young at heart. Lots of smiling faces.
Mr. Dong Jun Oh
7 May 2008
I think AKA resort is perfect for people who wants privacy and looking for a peaceful atmosphere in a remote area. It's not like other hotels in Hua-Hin and it's not so far from the city. It is really a place for relaxing and refreshing!!!! Let's recharge your battery at AKA Resort, Hua Hin.

"Very private, beautiful, very relaxing"
There are two AKAs in Hua Hin by now, the 'old' one (which looks brand new) and the Guti. We stayed at the 'old' one. (Apparently the concepts differ a little and the Guti is a little less private, with several villas sharing a pool).
Everyone has their own villa with a sleeping room, a living room, a bathroom with outside shower and bathtub, a terrace with a large eternity pool, a deck terrace and a spa house with a 2nd bathroom (which can also be used as a second sleeping room). Villa and pool are surrounded by huge fences, so no one can look inside. So this is entirely private, and you can be naked all day if you like. The design is very 'Asian', very clear cut, simple, only natural earthen colours, no pictures at the walls, not cluttering or kitsch. The villa is surrounded by plants and water. So one day we had a frog in the bathroom, another day a very large spider, geckos and the like. If you have issues with insects and reptiles, this might be worry some to you. We thought it was quite funny! There is no price difference in eating at the (excellent) restaurant or having food delivered to your house, so many guests take eat at their villa. It is a very quiet place and at first we thought we were the only guests, because the public areas were so empty. We enjoyed out stay very much. The spa treatments were very relaxing, everything was very beautiful, the food was excellent, giving you a choice between Thai and mediterranian food.

Thank you very much for your hospitality during our stay to make our trip very warm and relax.
Pui, you are the sweetest lady in aka, always with a very sweet smile and offer help to us at all time. I send u the album on the separate file.
Gai, you are excellent too, no matter where to see u, at guti or at aka, you always offer an excellent services. Very informative and very kind and gentle. Very nice to meet u in hua hin. Please show the pictures to pla for me and give her a big hug, since i didnt see her before we left.
Pla, you are the number one chef. I love your cooking style and learn a lot from you, one day if i become a chef, then you are my first one to thank for teaching me such a good way to cook.
Manoon, thank you for your patience to listening to our inprofessional advice and mumble jumble stories. Also thank you for taking us to visit guti. It's a very nice place. I am sure we will come again soon. However, remember to give us a big discount on everything, ok?
At last, elis and i are very appreciate for everyone who work in aka. Look forward to seeing you all again soon in the very near future.
Take care and kisses

12 March 2008
We have just arrived back in Belgium from a wonderful trip to Hua Hin (Thailand). We stayed at the AKA resort from 12-03 till 25-03 (we choose it after reading the reviews). What can I say... this place is heaven on earth if you are looking for a quiet retreat and especially for a private villa with a large swimming pool (10 m x 3 m) all for yourself. And all of this...at very affordable prices.
This is THE PLACE if you are looking for a real romantic holiday and don't want a big hotel which is most of the time very expensive if you want a suite which can be more high-tech but hasn't got the space and privacy that AKA can offer. And we have stayed in a lot of the best hotels of the world.
The Coustiero restaurant is truly a fantastic experience if you like top-class eating (in my opinion well worth a Michelin star). We are vegatarians and it was no problem at all for the french chefs to prepare for us a superb dinner each night (we cannot agree with the negative remarks concerning vegatarian food mentioned in a previous review). We didn't even bother to look for another restaurant as the food was really fantastic.
The only downside is that the wines on their wine-list are sold out very fast so the choice can be limited. Hopefully this will be solved quite soon. The hotel has a new manager who is really doing his best to make this hotel the best of Hua Hin (Small Luxury hotel).
We stayed at villa nr. 143 which is really private and quiet. The staff at the hotel is doing its best to make each visit a wonderful experience (cold towels with lemon-grass, cool drinks when you arrive and leave as well as a bag of free home-made cookies when you leave,
etc...) and of course their big smiles and friendliness. To make a long story short: would I return to this hotel? Yes, as soon as possible when the stock-market is on the rise again.
Oh, I almost forget. They have also a brand new 'sister' hotel which is nearby and has only been openend for 1 month. The new manager kindly invited us for a tour of this new hotel and the rooms are even nicer than the one whe had. Only negative point of this new hotel is that the swimming pools have no wall around them so you lose a big part of the privacy we so much enjoyed.!
Mr. Richard Blachford
18 March 2008
The new MD has certainly got this place under control and the new villas ajust up the road are exceptional..
Ms. Barbara Deurloo
17 February 2007
We have only spent 2 nights here but I think this is one of the most beautiful
places to stay! Away from the bad and angry world! It is quite expensive to
stay there, but ever so great and quiet! We had a great villa with private infinity
pool, you should look at their website, it is even better than the photos show
you, at least that is our opinion. The food (B,L,D)is also magnificent!! We
arrived on Sunday afternoon and it was very quiet, very few people there. We
had our last 2 days of our trip there and we could use the rest? (after almost
every -other-day moving from one place to another for almost 2 months, Sydney,
NZ, Bangkok). It/We felt very decadent. The staff was so friendly, I really
loved them all! And the service was also perfect! If possible we are going back
there!

We arrived in Hua Hin after a long drive form Bangkok airport and had a little
difficulty finding the AKA, we had to ring the hotel to get directions. Once
in the resort it was all worthwhile, the hotel is absolutely beautiful. We had
a pool villa which was fantastic. the staff are first class and nothing was
too much trouble. The food in the restaurant is the best, if a little pricey.
We had a wonderful time at the AKA the only thing is that it is a little way
out of town (shuttle bus runs every hour but you have to order it and let them
know what time you want to come back.)If you are looking for a quiet holiday
away from all the hustle and bustle I would recommend the AKA

This is my second stay at the AKA Resort Hua Hin this year. The drive from Bangkok
is enjoyable and both directions took around 3 hrs. The facilities are very
good, staff very friendly and helpful, and food/service great. This is an excellent
place to relax and treat oneself to great spa treatment. This time I also hired
the hotel bus for some site seeing. I will be back.

3 June 2007
The AKA Resort at Hua Hin is a truly amazing place. If you are a stressed executive
or business person this is the place to go. It is completely villa style resort
with your own pool and the resort is peaceful, relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed
our stay. The staff were great, very friendly and always helpful. We would recommend
the AKA Resort as a place to go and forget about the outside world, we certainly
did. The food and service was great and nothing was too much trouble for any
of the staff. Only downfall is that it is a ten minute drive to town and you
have to rely on the resort shuttle bus service. Check out the website, truly
a great resort.

5 April 2007
Having come out of a hectic work program in Bangladesh I was looking for somewhere
to really relax. The AKA Resort certainly delivered. The resort opened in April
2006 and is in immaculate condition. I had a pool villa with spa which had it
own lap pool. Room, facilities, food and service were all first class. Only
disappointment was to find I needed transport (shuttle bus) to go anywhere from
the resort. This was not a real problem but I had thought from the website that
the beach was close. In summary a top resort for a real chill out. Re: getting
there from Bangkok, I hired a car from my Bangkok Hotel and the trip was a pleasant
3 hours.
Florin Voicu
31 July 2007 "Great experience"
The AKA Resort in Hua Hin was a great deal for the weekend although it was not
near the beach. However, the facilities provided were unparalleled, given the
price. Paying 150 USD for a villa with a private pool was a deal you cannot
beat. The resort also has an exquisite French restaurant, which excelled especially
in their pastries and desserts. Imagine being served homemade ice cream in an
edible caramel container.

17 July 2007 "The best hotel ever!"
This is without doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed at. We were immediately
upgraded (as were all guests) because it was quiet season (June). We had only
paid approx €100 for the room through Agoda, & what value for money!
The room we were meant to get would also have been great. Each Villa has its
own pool & sunloungers, We had a living room, bedroom, spa room & two
bathrooms. We even had an outdoor day bed upstairs which had views over the
50 acres of land the hotel is built on. While this is not private, the rest
of the villa is totally private. The food is beautiful, the staff are amazing
- can't do enough for you. The spa is also outdoors and treatments are expensive
but nice. There is a shuttle bus that brings you in & out of town. The town,
however, is not so beautiful. There are markets & hundreds of restaurants,
tailors etc but because the hotel is so amazing it evens out that Hua Hin is
not so beautiful.
Paul Vandenbroecke
18 May 2007 "ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!"
Fantastic villas with plenty of space. Not near the beach (you won't need it
anyway), but only 10 minutes away from Hua Hin by hotel shuttle bus (charged).
The food is divine - and that is an understatement. I have stayed in many hotels
and the food here is SO GOOD that most city hotels don't even come close. It
is THAT good! I hope they never let this chef go. Just don't go there anytime
between April and October (rainy season). I will go back for sure in November.
Jesada Sirivorawong
1 May 2007 "Lovely!"
Lovely and private resort. The hotel's staff are willing to help and take good
care. The room is well designed and clean.
Sarika Hussey
16 November 2006 "Tranquil villa, good food, low activity"
Tranquil and spacious pool villa. Good food. The pool is actually bigger than
any of the pool villas we've stayed in. You can actually swim, not just dip.
Overall a great place, as long as you don't mind being in the middle of no where,
though you can get into Hua Hin town by car (20 minutes or so).
Robert Andren
29 September 2006 "Wonderful relaxing hotel"
I stayed in a deluxe pool villa. The hotel is really nice and the area is beautiful.
It is perfect if you want to relax because there is nothing to do besides that.
The negative bit is that is far from Hua Hin. They have a shuttle bus but it
stops going at 10pm.
Sandra Waterhouse
28 August 2006 "A beautiful getaway"
The hotel is stunningly beautiful in its simplistic Zen style. Perfect for honeymoons
or romantic breaks. The rooms were very well appointed and the private pools
and Salas were everything you could wish for. Staff were charming and the food
were of a very good standard, particularly the breakfast- nice to have a choice
of Asian or western cooked-to-order instead of the usual quantity not quality
tepid buffet .On the downside it was a bit far out from Hua Hin and there was
nothing outside the hotel. The shuttle bus runs every hour there and back but
the last one is at 10 pm, so there is no real nightlife unless you get a taxi
back, which is only 200 baht. The shuttle bus is 100 baht for a return. Overall
perfect for romantics and anyone needing a completely stress-free getaway. No
cable TV, so you really are back to nature, but if your own private pool and
roof-top Sala to watch the stars is appealing, then it doesn't get much better
than this.
